Vape Liquid changing colour

So you have received your E Liquid and noticed that there is a difference in colour or shade.

This is totally normal and nothing to worry about. It is the result of a common chemical reaction known as oxidation. The Nicotine in your e liquid is reactive, and can cause e-liquid to change colour by reacting with the flavourings in the juice, or after being exposed to sunlight, heat or air. Nicotine free (0mg ) should not be affected by colour change.

Flavoured Vapour juice “steeps” which is basically means the ingredients mixing and being absorbed into the base mix

Most juices with added nicotine tend to become darker over time, even when stored in a cool dark place. Some companies add small amounts of preservatives or stabilizers to prevent oxidation.

Colour change is actually a common occurrence, so if you have not seen this happen before, it’s probably because you’ve either been using nicotine-free juices or clear, PG-based unsweetened ones.

Is it safe to use

Absolutely. It’s just from the nicotine. It is rare for a juice to go bad in the original bottle.

If you have left e liquid sitting in a tank for a while, and it’s turned brown and nasty It would be wise to discard it to be on the safe side, but most vapers devices are in constant use and this would be rare. Make sure that if you have unopened bottles, you always store in a cool dry place out of direct light until needed, and you should be fine.
